*Administrative Coordinator Job Summary:*
To provide a clean, healthy and attractive environment for students, staff and families at Mary of Lourdes Middle School.
This position reports to and is evaluated by the Principal.
*Essential job functions:*
* Operate and maintain building heating system
* Perform short and long term maintenance in school facility
* Schedule and perform daily cleaning tasks in all classrooms
* Schedule and perform all cleaning tasks in all offices
* Prepare and clean the lunchroom daily
* Schedule and perform major cleaning tasks during summer months and days students are not present
* Ensure building security
* Order necessary supplies and maintain an inventory within budget guidelines
* Research best practices for maintaining the various surface materials in the building and implement them
* Perform routine inspection of all ACBM in the building and complete required records
* Be aware of and follow OSHA, Bloodborne Pathogens and Employee Right to Know Regulations
* Positive interaction with students, staff and parents
*Important job functions:*
All boiler components are well maintained and operating efficiently and rooms have a comfortable learning environment.
The building maintenance tasks are completed.
Daily cleaning in all areas of the building provide a healthy, pleasant environment for learning.
General use rooms and areas of the building are clean, safe and inviting.
The school lunchroom and kitchen are set up and cleaned to provide a pleasant eating environment.
The building is thoroughly cleaned and ready for staff and students to begin the school year and after non-student days.
Building is secured by locking rooms and exterior doors and maintaining locks.
Supplies are available as needed and the budget is expended wisely.
Custodians are reviewing current practices to ensure surfaces are appropriately cleaned and preserved.
All asbestos records are recorded according to the regulations and any temporary workers entering the building are notified of ACBM areas that will affect them.
*Education/Certification:*
Boiler’s License to operate the boiler in the building employed.
Vocational training relevant to position guide for janitors.
*Experience:*
* Successfully complete a background check, safe environment training, and Code of Conduct.
* Experience working as a janitor and ordering and maintaining supply inventory.
