Northern Pines Mental Health Center is seeking a Support Specialist to join our Children & Families team.
This is a Full-time position.
This position exists to provide continuous daily supportive services for the CTSS program, to ensure proper support to all Clinical Staff, and to provide daily services to Northern Pines clients.
Essential Functions include:
Manage denial list including: troubleshoot denial issues to get claims rebilled, work with staff and insurance companies to get denials resolved, send COB forms to parents, send authorizations for denials
Run monthly reports to monitor clients approaching their threshold limit of sessions.
Ensure appropriate documentation is collected.
Send authorization forms along with required documentation to insurance companies for authorization approval.
Complete executive summary reports monthly and/or quarterly for each school.
Complete school-based surveys bi-yearly to be included in executive summaries.
Complete reporting and administrative functions for the School-Linked Mental Health Grant.
This may include: reporting on client services, collaborating with school-based staff to update grant forms, verify client data
Manage general CTSS mailbox as needed.
This may include: answering staff and client questions, entering intakes into electronic health record (EHR), updating client information in EHR,
Provide back-up assistance for phone calls from parents regarding CTSS payments and insurance
Assist CTSS Directors with tasks and projects as needed
Client intakes: collect intake information from clients and enter into EHR.
Verify insurance as part of this process.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
High School Diploma or equivalent education
At least one year of experience working in the Mental/ Behavioral Health field
