Annies Childcare and Learning Center is looking for a reliable, motivated, excited and caring staff person to fill the role of a Preschool Teacher for 4-5 year olds at our center located on College Drive! This teacher would be responsible for coordinating the curriculum and managing day-to-day operational activities of the classroom.
Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.
The teacher must be skilled in the communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children in your care; as well as manage relationships and communication with parents.
Key responsibilities:
- Keep the classroom environment clean and safe.
- Keep records of the students' progress, routines, interests and keep parents informed about their child's development.
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity, rest, playtime and learning time.
- Organize activities so children can learn new things, explore interests and develop talents.
- Plan and carry out lesson plans using creative curriculum; keep anecdotal notes and document all assessments.
- Work with children depending on their needs.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents.
- Maintain a Personal Professional Development Plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Excellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
This job would include 40 hours per week within our Monday through Friday hours of 6:30AM-5:30PM.
