GOV* The purpose of this position is to perform professional legal work assisting the County Attorney in carrying out duties as legal counsel and criminal prosecutor for Crow Wing County.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the First Assistant County Attorney and County Attorney.
This position will be responsible for prosecuting adults in violation of petty misdemeanor, misdemeanor, gross misdemeanor and felony offenses that occur within Crow Wing County.
Other job duties may be assigned by the County Attorney or First Assistant County Attorney and may include coverage for others areas within the office.
The Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office strives to maintain a 1:1 ratio between Attorney and Legal Assistant staff working together on a case load.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
*Minimum Qualifications* * Graduation from an accredited undergraduate university or college * Graduation from an accredited law school * Eligible to take Minnesota Bar Exam.
Anticipate to become licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota within 3-6 months; or * Completion of the MN State and multi-state bar examination and professional responsibility examination * Licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota * Working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations, and ordiancnes and established precedent * Valid state issued driver's license Job Type: Full-time Pay: $81,621.
