Our client is a one hundred-million-dollar community bank currently searching for in order of priority someone to lead their bank in the areas of Compliance, Operations, and possibly as Controller.
They will pay for relocation to the beautiful lakes area of Brainerd/Baxter, Minnesota to work in an office or hybrid.
The bank is a clean, strong-performing, growing bank that is looking for an experienced compliance officer with a minimum of 5+ years of lending and deposit compliance experience coming out of a $100 million or larger bank or credit union.
They need someone who has worked with all aspects of compliance, comes with a regulatory compliance examination background and ideally has their CRCM certification or is willing to study to get it.
The Compliance Officer is responsible for supervising a staff of five and for overseeing the day-to-day implementation of the Bank’s overall compliance program and board reporting.
Among other things, the Compliance Officer is responsible for developing and updating compliance-related policies and procedures, scheduling and tracking employee compliance training, overseeing periodic compliance reviews, coordinating annual self-assessments, and working with Bank staff to ensure appropriate controls for compliance-related risks.
This person in this position will maintain current knowledge of changes in laws and regulations impacting Bank compliance, including BSA / AML, ECOA, FHA, HMDA, CRA, and UDAAP.
This person does have supervisory responsibilities and would report directly to the President/CEO.
