POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
License/Certificates
Valid Driver’s license required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs general laborer duties, including:
General carpentry
Painting of rooms, walls, equipment and miscellaneous other items throughout the facility
General maintenance of the physical being of all facilities
Courier duties when needed
Minor mechanical maintenance
Minor electrical and plumbing duties
Assists the engineers with duties, jobs and tasks as needed
Ability to drive to satellite locations
Maintains and delivers all portable med gases as needed
Collects all recyclable garbage throughout the hospital facility
Collects all hazardous, infectious, and P-listed waste
Collects all confidential shredding materials
Performs other duties as assigned.
Promotes service excellence by demonstrating polite, cooperative and respectful behavior to both internal and external customers.
Assumes responsibility for completing mandatory educational requirements.
Safeguards security and confidentiality of data/information according to HIPAA guidelines.
Carries out duties safely and uses safety devices provided to protect self and others.
Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
