Construction Estimator (Lumber Experience)

*Hiring Immediately!* *Construction Estimator/ Lumberyard Estimator* *\*Job pay commensurate to experience* We are looking for a Project take off / Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for projects by gathering information from contractors, homeowners, and other clients to produce building material quotes.
The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset with prior experience in construction and building materials.
You must be thorough and apt in managing relationships with key persons.
*Responsibilities* * Understand the project/program and its requirements * Determine key variables for cost and other estimates * Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses or other venues * Conduct research to obtain data, materials, production times etc.
* Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors * Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, bidding competitions etc.
) * Build relationships with customers & key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
) * Provide consultation on planning.
*Skills* * Proven experience as estimator or similar position * Familiarity with construction process * In depth knowledge of estimation formulas * Proficient in relevant software * Outstanding communication * Thoroughness and reliability * Excellent organizational skills *Benefits* Benefits offered through AFLAC Store employee discount Paid Time off Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $45,000.
