*2nd Shift Assembly* *Purpose of the Position:* This position is responsible for performing semiskilled manual and automatic assembly duties in different of areas of the plant during the production process, of assembling cold storage vans using a variety of tools, chemicals, paint, caulking, and machines, and PPE and respirators as required to perform job function.
This position reports to the Coordinator and Production Supervisor.
*Responsibilities and Essential Functions:* * Perform- pre-operational equipment, preventative maintenance tasks, and process inspections.
* Perform quality and safety functions per the Quality and Safety Program schedules.
* Follow protocols & procedures outlined in the safety and operations manuals.
* Report maintenance and quality opportunities with area shift coordinator and/or supervisors.
* Interface with plant SAP system to assure inventory control, lot traceability and tracking.
* Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
* Mentorship and training of new hires required as needed for area.
*Assembly Specific Tasks & Responsibilities:* * Document all in-process assembly, in accordance & compliance with customer specifications and quality control.
* Operates tools & machinery to move items, assemble, repair, and finish cold storage vans.
* Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory and reporting shortages.
* Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
* Maintains in-process inventory at work centers of materials and supplies.
* Documents materials and processes completed in each stage of assembly.
* Documents errors and defects of panels appropriately, finishing quality control documents and travelers.
* Responsible for various tasks in the plant for the following, doors, bead blasting, bonding, Prisma (automatic and manual), component installation and assembly of cold storage vans, and other processes as required.
* Support other in process areas, as necessary.
* Inspect machinery per inspection schedule and clean/upkeep equipment as needed.
* Follow all workplace safety guidelines.

* Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary.
* Available for overtime on a scheduled or call-in/call-back basis, as necessary.
* Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
*Qualifications:* * The ideal candidate will possess the following: * High school diploma or equivalent.
* Self-motivated with ability to allow constructive feedback to grow in position.
* Assembly/Manufacturing/Production Facility or Factory experience preferred.
* Ability to follow proper quality and workplace safety procedures and requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment.
* Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for an extended period of time.
* An established track record of reliability.
* Mechanically inclined, drive yourself to continually grow and develop your role.
* Ability to adapt and accommodate to change.

The role routinely using machinery equipment, forklifts, computers as well as laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee may be required to stand for extended periods of time as well as use hands or fingers to reach or handle, and to reach with hands and arms.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 or more pounds.
All vision abilities are required to encompass close-up work.
On occasion, employees must be able to tolerate and endure extended seasonal hours and maintain alertness to meet deadlines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to machinery and moving parts, airborne particles including grain dust and hazardous materials or fumes, which may require the use of PPE.
The employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, extreme temperature changes in the plant from normal temperatures to above normal temperatures, extended seasonal hours, high precarious places and confined spaces.
The noise level in some of the work environments may require the use of hearing protection.
