Come join our team and create a one-of-a-kind product new to the transportation industry and help us deliver around the world from the first to final mile! *Assembly Coordinator* *Purpose of the Position:* This position is responsible for ensuring quality assurance and the production teams meet scheduled goals.
This entails a range of oversight of work including planning, scheduling, directing, and executing production activities for maximum performance of projects.
This position reports for the Production Supervisor, Operations Manager and Plant Manager.
*Responsibilities and Essential Functions:* * Assist supervisor(s) to meet production goals outlined by the supervisors.
* Perform a variety of semiskilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment, and safety precautions.
* Adhere to and enforce the general safety plan.
* Ensure quality assurance throughout the production process.
* Plan, schedule, direct and execute production activities.
* Increase motivation and work efficiency by implementing approved Wabash systems.
* Adapt to changes in the market and respond to customer demands.
* Maintain current knowledge on the market and industry trends.
* Exercise independent judgment.
* Conduct research to further understand competitors.
* Ensure work is performed at a quality level consistent with Wabash standard practice.
*Other* * Execute the Wabash Mission, Vision and Values at all times.
* Promote a positive, proactive environment where input from team members is valued and encouraged.
* Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary.
* Available for overtime on a scheduled or call-in/call-back basis, as necessary.
* Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
*Qualifications:* The ideal candidate will possess the following: * High School Degree or GED equivalent * Must have both written and verbal (give instructions) communication skills.
* Self-motivated with ability to allow constructive feedback to grow in position.
* Ability to follow proper quality and workplace safety procedures and requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment.
* Ability to use computer software or be taught, (MS Office, ADP, Kronos).
* Ability to understand and apply engineering specifications, change orders, and standard operating procedures and read blueprints and drawings.
* Possess required math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* An established track record of reliability.
* Driven to continually grow and develop your role.
* Ability to adapt and accommodate to change.

While performing the duties for this job inside the plant, the employee is frequently exposed to normal working conditions for a manufacturing plant with a noise level that is moderate to loud noise.
The roles defined through Wabash may routinely use machinery equipment, forklifts, computers as well as laboratory instrumentation and tools, both manual and automatic.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee may be required to stand for extended periods of time as well as use hands or fingers to reach or handle, and to reach with hands and arms.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl.

On occasion, employees must be able to tolerate and endure extended seasonal hours and maintain alertness to meet deadlines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to machinery and moving parts, airborne particles including grain dust and hazardous materials or fumes, which may require the use of PPE.
The employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, extreme temperature changes in the plant from normal temperatures to above normal temperatures, extended seasonal hours, high precarious places and confined spaces.
The noise level in some of the work environments may require the use of hearing protection.
