Ready Mix Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Ready Mix Driver to join our team.
The primary responsibility of this role is to transport ready mix concrete to construction sites in a timely and efficient manner.
As a DCON Ready Mix Driver, you will ensure the proper handling and delivery of concrete to our customers, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications: - Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record - Ability to operate and maintain a ready mix concrete truck - Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers - Ability to navigate and use GPS systems to locate destinations - Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols Responsibilities: - Safely operate a ready mix truck to transport and deliver concrete to construction sites - Perform pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance or repairs needed - Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road - Follow specific instructions regarding the type and quantity of concrete to be delivered - Maintain accurate records of deliveries and submit required paperwork on time - Communicate with dispatch regarding any delivery updates or issues - Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers at construction sites - Ensure the proper handling and pouring of concrete to prevent spills or damage - Clean and maintain the truck's interior and exterior - Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills Skills: - Strong driving skills with the ability to maneuver large vehicles in various road and weather conditions - Solid understanding of concrete properties and handling techniques - Time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines - Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording and submission of necessary paperwork - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds - Ability to climb ladders and stairs - Ability to work in various weather conditions We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Ready Mix Driver who values safety, teamwork, and providing exceptional customer service.
